Hey all, Kevin here. I just transferred this domain to a new host and I want to verify that everything is working properly, so I am creating a post.

However, I want to say that I haven't given up on Geek Nougat. I'd like to relaunch this show. There will be a slight format change, though. The old way I was recording was just way too much work editing. So, be prepared for more awesome geekiness, but with a more structured show format.

Geek Nougat #17 - Fake War and Politics

We haven't stopped playing Fallout 3 at the time of this recording, so guess what we talk about at the beginning of this show? However, not all talk is consumed by Fallout talk. Near the end of the show Kevin and Jeff talk politics. And not only do they talk politics, but they argue about them. So strap on your fighting gloves and listen to our Geeks try to parse the Bill of Rights.

Geek Nougat #16 - The Fallout Show

I hope you really like Fallout, because that is essentially what this entire show is about. It's been long enough that if you wanted to avoid spoilers you should already be playing the game, and if you aren't and you still want to avoid them then don't listen to the show. We do talk about other things in this episode, but if you hear a random blurb about a gun or a landmine, assume that is in reference to Fallout 3.

Once again, I remind you that this show is for fun, not profit. As such our release schedule can be a little wacky at times. Editing this thing is a pain in the ass, so I hope you appreciate my hard work. Geek Nougat #13 - Hail to the King

I'm going to let you in on a little secret: we record much longer than what you hear as the final product. Normally we record for about 2 hours, and out of that I produce a 30 to 50 minute show. We don't really follow a format for this show, we just call each other up on Skype and start recording until we get bored. The result is a show all over the place, full of comments we don't want saved forever, as well as personal conversations that wouldn't make a lot of sense to the average listener. This show is an anomoly. I started with about and hour and a half of recording and the final product is just under 50 minutes. So, this particular show has had the highest wheat to chaff ratio compared to all our previous shows. Or maybe I just did a shitty job editing...

Geek Nougat #10 - Political Pandering

Politics is geeky, right? Whatever, we still talk about them for about the first 8 or 9 minutes of this show. If you aren't interested, just fast forward to the Fucking Bears... This show is about equal parts Geek and Nougat. The Geek parts include discussion about Google Chrome, the new Microsoft advert, and Spore. The Nougat parts include Gardening, Durian, and the fact that Jeff has only this year experienced the awesomeness that is plums. We finish out the show with Chris being a dick to his wife, so be sure to stick around until we wrap the whole thing up. And if you don't normally stick around until the VERY end of the show, you're missing out on the best sound bites of the entire fucking show, what's your problem?

Geek Nougat #9 - Bad Company...

If Pete, Chris, and Jeff seem a little distracted in this show it's because they are playing Battlefield Bad Company while recording the show. Kevin, however, is giving you all he's got (which is, admittedly, not much). Be sure you listen to the end of this episode to hear the origins of mosquito pussy among other tidbits. Also, if you're curious, on this episode we discuss the Force Unleashed demo, Castle Crashers, and Star Trek, among many other topics. In the end, Kevin just had some Bad Company on this particular show.

There's also a bit of repeating because at the beginning of the show we have Chris and Kevin, then Jeff joins, and finally Pete rounds out the crew. Also, Chris introduced us to a very disturbing video while we were recording, so of course we had to talk about it for most of the show. I really don't feel like having a link from any site I run to this site, they don't need a better search ranking thanks to me... Geek Nougat #4 - Kevin for President

When it rains, it pours. I assume you are sick of hearing about E3, but the Geek Nougat guys wanted you to get some on your face so we are discussing our opinion on the matter. Don't worry, though, we are still full of crudeness and rudeness in between the geeking out. As a reminder, we try to record a show every week, but we are taking a laid back approach to this show, and that includes the editing time. So, no, this show is not "late" it's on time.
